Somehow I can understand that this is a sensitive issue for some people.
Even the big organisations such as UNO, WB etc. have different expressions:
Less and Least Developped Countries (LDC and LLDC) by UNO, Low and Middle
Income Countries (LIC and MIC) by WB, etc..
In addition we have “Newly Industrializing Economies”, “Countries in
Transition”, etc.
