trainer for maintenance of surgical instruments

Hello,
I need to locate an expert who can provide training as a volunteer for  a medical training program in Trujillo, Peru in late February. This person should speak some Spanish, be comfortable with hands-on training a group of nurses,  and be familiar with cleaning, sharpening, straightening, lubricating and sterilizing surgical stainless steel instruments, with [...]

better specifications for surgical instruments

Dear Ronald,

Please let me know if the following discussion and specifications help you

A medical device with “acceptable quality” is not a subjective decision but
it must conform with international standards. For surgical instruments,
they must conform with product standards and quality management standards.

ISO TC170 is responsible for product standards for surgical instruments

Try ICS code [...]

better specifications for surgical instruments

High quality, of course, means high costs. A cataract surgical set made in India of acceptable
quality can cost about USD $250 whereas one made in Germany of very high quality can cost
over USD $7000.

A hospital needs to decide what is acceptable quality based on their budget constraints and
their ability to properly care for and maintain [...]

Better specifications for surgical instruments

Dear Colleagues,

I am facing the following problem very frequently, and just now again:

“satisfactory definition of quality for surgical instruments in the
technical specification”

You all know that there is a huge range of real quality, for example between
instruments from German productions (e.g. Aesculap) and Indian or Russian
productions (just to give one example)

There are a lot of [...]
